Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Principal's Message

At Jindabyne High School, we believe every young person deserves a place where they feel known, valued and challenged to achieve their personal best. Our school is grounded in high expectations, strong relationships and a deep sense of belonging, these are the foundations for learning that guide every decision we make. Wellbeing is at the core of our approach, and we value each student’s journey and encourage them to discover who they are and who they aspire to become.

Our students learn to think critically, act with empathy, and approach challenges with confidence and resilience. These skills are nurtured through purposeful, evidenced based teaching, meaningful connections with staff, and a school culture built on our values of respect, integrity and courage.

Our dynamic curriculum is designed to meet the diverse needs and aspirations of every student. We offer hands-on learning opportunities through our Agricultural Farm, Commercial Kitchen, and Timber and Metal workshops, supporting VET pathways in Construction, Entertainment and Hospitality, as well as, Industrial Technology Timber. Creative Arts are also a vital part of our curriculum, with vibrant programs in Music, Visual Arts, and Drama fostering creativity, expression, and collaboration. Whether through performance, visual storytelling or innovation, students have abundant opportunities to explore and develop their artistic talents.

For our academically driven students, we provide a wide range of rigorous HSC courses, including Extension courses in Mathematics, English and History, advanced Science subjects and more. These courses build upon our ASCEND enrichment program and enhance the learning experiences offered throughout the junior years, ensuring that every student is challenged and supported to reach their full potential. Together, our comprehensive curriculum nurtures academic excellence, practical skills and creative growth - empowering students to thrive in their chosen pathways and beyond.

What truly sets Jindabyne High School apart is the commitment of our staff. They work collaboratively, reflectively, and with genuine care to ensure every student experiences success,  whether through academic achievement, personal growth or exploration of new interests.

As a school community, we celebrate diversity, encourage leadership, and support students to step forward with curiosity and purpose. Our modern facilities and expanding programs create opportunities, but it is our people, students, staff and families, who bring these spaces to life and make Jindabyne High School a place where young people thrive.

As you learn more about Jindabyne High School, I hope you see a community that values each young person and provides the tools, opportunities, and encouragement they need to succeed. We are proud of the school we are building together and are committed to continual improvement. We look forward to welcoming you into our community.
