About our school
Jindabyne High School is a vibrant community nestled in the picturesque Snowy Monaro Shire, recently evolved from Jindabyne Central School, a reflection of the area's growing community. We are proud to maintain a strong connection with Jindabyne Primary School. However, we are also excited to embark on our own journey and develop our unique identity and school ethos.
Our new emblem, a representation of our journey and vision, embodies inclusivity, resilience, and connection. Derived from indigenous language, our logo's concentric lines signify our diverse community, while the Snow Gum, a resilient species from the Snowy Mountains, reflects our strength and growth. The Snowy River and Mountains, two significant landmarks, further connect us to our surroundings and our Ngarigo Elders. Additionally, the mountains pay homage to the previous imagery used for the Jindabyne Central School Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) System, forever intertwing Jindabyne High School with the history of Jindabyne Central School.
