Student Leadership

Welcome from our 2024 Captains

Jindabyne High School is a welcoming and uplifting community where every student and staff member is able to explore and develop new skills. We are so lucky to have a school community that allows everyone to be a part of each other's journey of learning and growth. As Captains we believe that Jindabyne High School celebrates success and supports students in reaching their goals, and following their passions.

Each year, we all embark on remarkable adventures, where perseverance fuels achievement, and friendships fuels joy. As we all learn, laugh, and leap forward together, we remember that each student, teacher, and staff member contributes to making our school community a family.

As Captains it’s so satisfying to see classrooms buzzing with creativity and every corner of our school filled with enthusiasm. As we navigate through the challenges and triumphs of each academic year, we are continually inspired by the resilience, dedication, and compassion that every member of our school displays. Together, everyone at Jindabyne High helps create a supportive and inclusive community where students feel empowered to explore their passions, overcome obstacles, and reach their fullest potential.

We're lucky enough to have a school community that values everyone that comes to the community, by embracing diversity and celebrating the unique talents and contributions of each individual at Jindabyne High.

We are so fortunate to have the Snowy Mountains on our front doorstep that offer students the opportunity to enjoy what our area has to offer, excel in snowsports, foster a love for the outdoors and adventure, and provide unforgettable experiences that develop our education and personal growth.

As school captains we are so proud of the Jindabyne High School community. Looking ahead, we are excited to see our community continue to grow and flourish with a shared commitment to lifelong learning, guided by our values of respect, integrity and courage.

Student Representative Council

The Student Representative Council (SRC) serves as the voice of the student body, advocating for their interests and concerns within the school community. Comprising elected representatives from various year levels, the SRC plays a vital role in fostering student engagement, promoting positive initiatives, and facilitating communication between students, teachers, and school administration. Alongside their advocacy work, the SRC also coordinates fundraising events throughout the year, contributing to charitable causes and enhancing school resources. Through collaborative efforts and initiatives, the SRC empowers students to actively contribute to school decision-making processes, enhancing the overall student experience and promoting a sense of ownership and responsibility within the school community.
